About the Role

The Innovation Center Technical Service Executive / Senior Executive provides technical and laboratory expertise that drives customer project success, application development, and product evaluations across DKSH's Food and Beverage Ingredients business in Malaysia. This role is a vital bridge between technical capability and commercial outcomes, partnering closely with the sales team and principals to bring innovative food solutions to life.

 What You Will Deliver

• Monitor product formulation guidelines and ensure procedure compliance to improve existing products, reduce costs, enhance performance, and simplify manufacturing processes
• Manage product formulation at laboratory and pilot scale, ensuring reliable, high-quality outcomes that meet customer and business expectations
• Lead the implementation of product development projects, ensuring efficient resource planning and on-schedule delivery aligned with project timelines
• Compile and review the latest product trends, ingredients, and development processes to continuously identify opportunities for product improvement and innovation
• Deliver technical training to the sales team to strengthen their product knowledge and technical capabilities, enabling more effective and confident customer engagement
• Ensure laboratory equipment is well maintained and safety protocols are strictly upheld, so that all product designs meet applicable safety and regulatory requirements
• Co-visit key customers alongside the sales team to provide expert technical guidance and tailored solutions that support customer project conversion
• Manage the library of ingredient and flavour samples to support external sampling activities and internal application studies
• Administrative duties and coordination tasks as required 

 What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Food Technology or a related field
• Executive level: 1 to 3 years of experience in Technical Service, Research and Development (R&D), Quality, Application Laboratory, or Food Ingredients; fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply
• Senior Executive level: 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Technical Service, Application Development, or Innovation Centre operations within the food industry
• Business-to-Business (B2B) commercial awareness combined with a technical and solution-oriented approach
• Knowledge of food ingredients, additives, and flavours, with practical experience in different food processing methods and applications
• Knowledge of scientific, chemical, and laboratory methods applicable to food product development
• Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prepare and present testing reports and study findings
• Competency in data analysis and market research to support product and commercial decisions
• Proficiency in office productivity tools including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
