Position Title: OTX Sales Representative
Location: Singapore
Reports To: Sales Manager
Position Summary:
The OTX (Over-The-Counter and Prescription) Sales Representative is responsible for promoting, educating, and selling a range of OTX products within retail pharmacies such as Guardian, Watsons, and Unity across Singapore. This role focuses on increasing these products' visibility, recommendation, and sales by building strong relationships with pharmacy personnel, including pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, and store managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Business Development:
- Achieve and exceed sales targets for OTX products within assigned retail pharmacies.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within retail channels.
- Ensure the optimal presence of products on shelves and promotional displays.
- Product Promotion & Education:
- Provide in-depth product knowledge and training to pharmacy staff, ensuring they can effectively recommend and sell the products.
- Conduct regular in-store visits to educate pharmacy staff on new product launches, benefits, and usage.
- Organize and conduct product demonstrations and promotional events within the pharmacies.
- Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key personnel in retail pharmacies, including pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, and store managers.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the company and retail pharmacies, ensuring any concerns or questions are promptly addressed.
- Collaborate with pharmacy management to secure prime shelf space and optimal product placement.
- Market Analysis & Feedback:
- Monitor and report on market trends, competitor activities, and consumer feedback within the retail pharmacy sector.
- Provide regular reports to management on sales performance, market opportunities, and challenges.
- Gather insights from pharmacy staff and consumers to help refine marketing strategies and product offerings.
- Merchandising & Inventory Management:
- Ensure that products are well-merchandised, with attractive and accurate product displays.
- Monitor stock levels within retail pharmacies and coordinate with supply chain teams to prevent stockouts.
- Assist in the planning and executing promotions, discounts, and special offers.
- Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure all activities comply with local regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and market intelligence.
- Prepare and submit timely sales reports, expense reports, and other required documentation.
Qualifications:
- Education: A diploma or degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, preferably within the OTX/OTC sector.
- Experience working with retail pharmacies like Guardian, Watsons, and Unity is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Strong sales and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Good organizational and time management abilities.
- Knowledge of the Singapore healthcare and pharmaceutical market is a plus.
