Job Summary

Supervise the day-to-day operations of inventory management to ensure inventory is planned at optimal level to meet target turns, working capital performance and revenue growth.

General Responsibilities

  • Support superior in managing day-to-day order management and management of deliveries.
  • Implement inventory management strategies, guidelines and processes to ensure inventory is planned at optimal level to meet target turns.
  • Consolidate and forecast inventory requirements with Sales, Operations and Finance.
  • Monitor and track stock movements into and between the warehouses to maintain optimal stockholding.
  • Monitor the integrity of Bill of Materials (BOM) and manage inventory accuracy.
  • Monitor inventory levels against agreed target levels.
  • Supervise the inventory system updates to ensure the accuracy of inventory records between material requirements planning (MRP) and actual levels.
  • Analyze inventory turnover and focus on minimizing both shortages and cost of inventory.
  • Prepare and consolidate inventory reports and KPIs to measure the service level and progress against inventory KPIs. Create regular statistical reports and analysis and update others in the organization.
  • Review efficiency of current processes and recommend improvements to enhance reduce costs.
  • Build and maintain good relationships with internal team on inventory operations.

Functional Skills and Knowledge

  • Demonstrate in-depth understanding of inventory planning methodologies and systems.
  • Demonstrate basic understanding of distribution centers, distribution and transport.
  • Proven experience in inventory management, procurement systems and logistics operations.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of SAP - material requirements planning (MRP) system.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Demonstrate appreciation and respect for cultural sensitivities especially in international/cross-cultural interactions.
  • Demonstrate fluency in local language and ideally in English, both written and spoken.

Education and Work Experience

  • Any graduated and Diploma/certificate in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field.
  • Minimum three to five years’ experience in a similar role.
