About The Role
The SCM Business Partner serves as the primary link between Business Units, Commercial teams, Finance, Customers, Distributors and Supply Chain Operations. The role is responsible for translating business growth objectives into practical supply chain strategies and execution plans that deliver service excellence, inventory optimization, cost efficiency and supply reliability. The position acts as the single point of contact for supply chain matters related to assigned Business Units and key customers, ensuring strong alignment between commercial priorities, market requirements and operational capabilities. The role also supports business growth through effective planning, customer collaboration, distributor network support, risk mitigation and continuous improvement initiatives adapted to Myanmar market conditions.
What You Will Deliver
- Serve as the primary SCM contact for assigned Business Units and key stakeholders.Translate business plans into supply chain actions and execution plans.
- Support business growth, new product launches and customer initiatives.
- Provide SCM recommendations to improve service, cost and inventory performance. Client, Customer & Business Development Solutioning
- Support Business Development, pitches, RFQs / tenders, renewals, onboarding and client exit activities from the SCM perspective.
- Support and being a consultant for local integrated supply chain solution design and pricing input for 3PL / 4PL, VAS, distribution, route-to-market and customer-specific service requirements. Prepare BU and commercial representatives with SCM data, assumptions, risks, pricing / cost-to-serve inputs and service model options for customer meetings.
- Ensure BU, client and customer KPIs and SLA expectations are clearly communicated and reviewed with relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate regular local SCM reporting to BU, clients, customers, local SCM and Group SCM as required; perform ad hoc analysis and translate findings into actions.
- Lead local customer analytics and performance analysis across delivery time, operational quality, cost, inventory, service level and root causes.
- Coordinate communication during major planned or unplanned service events, ensuring clear, timely and consistent messages from SCM to BU and customers.
- Support market S&OP / IBP processes for assigned BU(s), linking commercial plans with supply, inventory, capacity and operating constraints.
- Work with BU, planners, Central Planning Excellence and SCM Operations to improve forecast accuracy, demand-supply alignment, inventory health and service reliability.
- Make recommendations on CFR / OTIF, inventory and planning improvements and follow through with action owners and market HSCM.
- Co-own local BU service and cost performance, driving improvement roadmaps with BU, Finance, SCM Operations and market HSCM.
- Review end-to-end local supply chain processes to identify improvement opportunities that optimize cost, capital, service level and customer experience.
- Drive local continuous improvement, digitalization and best-practice sharing across customer portfolios, BU operations and market SCM teams.
- Identify cost-to-serve and profitability improvement opportunities for assigned BU / client portfolio and support business case development. Market Operating Model, Governance & Collaboration
- Partner with Shared Service / Transversal teams on compliance, QA / QMS, master data, facilities, security, health & safety, sustainability, risk and continuous improvement where relevant to BU / customer scope.
- Facilitate local business review meetings for strategic clients or BU portfolios and coordinate follow-up actions with country teams and customer counterparts.
What You Bring
- Strong understanding of end-to-end FMCG supply chain operations.
- Knowledge of demand planning, inventory management, warehousing, transportation and customer service.
- Understanding of Myanmar distribution networks and route-to-market models.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to evaluate service, cost and profitability impacts of supply chain decisions.
- Experience in S&OP, forecast management and inventory optimization.
- Understanding of logistics cost structures and cost-to-serve analysis.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, Power BI and supply chain reporting tools.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Fluent English language communication skills.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, Finance or related field.
- APICS/ASCM, Lean Six Sigma, Project Management or similar certifications are an advantage.
- 6-10 years of relevant Supply Chain, Logistics, Planning or Customer Supply Chain experience.
- FMCG experience preferred.
- Experience working with distributors and customers in Myanmar market.
- Strong project management and stakeholder management capability.
- Experience in MNC or matrix organizations is an advantage.
