Job Summary

To take care of selling products and solutions, participate in sales and marketing strategies development, key account management and project management, communicating with involved parties – supporting functions, customers, clients, etc...

General Responsibilities

  • Continuously identify, develop and explore new business opportunities with all customers to achieve the sales target.
  • Attend meetings and contribute to company strategy and policy-making as required
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information.
  • Review your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.
  • Arrange meetings with customers to identify opportunities, introduce our portfolio and start projects
  • Listen to customer requirements and present appropriate products and solutions
  • Capture key details of customer visits and projects in DKSH’s state of the art Customer relationship management (CRM) – tool “Salesforce.com”, immediately after each visit
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers in person, and via telephone calls and emails
  • Service existing customers and always identify new opportunities
  • Make accurate quotations to customers considering all commercial aspects (incoterms, payment term, margin…)
  • Record sales and order information and brief customer service officer.
  • Negotiate on price and costs, delivery and specifications with suppliers.
  • Liaising with suppliers to check the progress of existing orders and new orders.

Functional Skills and Knowledge

  • Minimum 2 - 5 years’ experience in chemical/industrial sales.
  • Excellent command of English (verbal & written) and computer literacy.
  • Have an own car and driving license
  • A passion to (over-) achieve the sale target
  • Proactive and positive thinking, Self-starter & Execution, Able to work under pressure

Education

  • Bachelor degree in Chemistry/Chemical or related chemical sales field.
