Job Summary
Manage the execution of Group-wide/Business Unit wide/ regional/ country/ channel/ product expansion strategies and establish long-term relationships with potential key clients and customers in line with business objectives
Business Metrics
Managing operating departmental budgets and costs where applicable Incremental revenue and EBIT/ GM of near expiring/renewals/new business
General Responsibilities
- Manage departmental operating budgets and costs according to annual allocation to ensure efficient usage of resources, where applicable
- Manage the execution of Group-wide/Business Unit wide/ regional/ country/ channel/ product expansion strategies to achieve short- and long-term business objectives
- Identify, evaluate and manage business opportunities/leads in securing sales pipeline in line with short- and long-term financial goals
- Manage research/feasibility studies/market scan, evaluate findings and prepare information for decision-making
- Manage the negotiation process. Prepare contracts, providing input on proper pricing and contract terms. Identify upselling opportunities and manage contract renegotiations with existing clients
- Manage the improvement of current Business Development processes and cross-functional collaboration to drive effectiveness and minimize redundancy
- Drive and coordinate activities related to Business Development workforce capability and client/customer data management
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders in identifying upselling opportunities, dealing with negotiations and finalization of contracts
- Establish long-term relationships with potential clients/customers with a view to enhancing business opportunities
- Local and International sourcing, selection and development of consumer goods (brand and own brand)
- Identification of potential suppliers
- Prior knowledge of the Myanmar supply market and other Asean markets

- Manage and oversee team’s delivery of team/function goals to drive execution against goals set
- Drive and manage learning and development of team in the area of Business Development and DKSH behavior to achieve team/ function goals
- Drive self-learning and improvement in the area of Business Development and DKSH behavior as part of continuous learning
Functional Skills and Knowledge
- Demonstrate business development experience in applying business development principles for medium- to large-sized companies in similar industries
- Demonstrate business acumen, analytical and business analysis skills
- Demonstrate skills in market research and audit
- Proven client and customer account management skills
- Demonstrate ability to manage global/regional/country level assignments and projects
- Demonstrate appreciation and respect for cultural sensitivities especially in cross-country/-cultural interactions
- Demonstrate fluency in English (both written and spoken)
Education
- Degree in Business Studies/Marketing preferred
- Other qualifications related to the technical know-how work area (e.g. engineering, chemical, medical devices, etc.) will be considered
Work Experience
- Minimum five to eight years’ experience in a similar industry, especially in sales, marketing, business development related work, etc.
- Minimum of two to three years’ experience in a managerial capacity
