Job Summary
- Develop and oversee the implementation of non-trade procurement policies/procedures and plans
- Manage the supplier tender process, purchasing activities and reporting
- Lead and support corporate projects i.e. office renovation and leasing review
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain HK Non-Trade Procurement (NTP) related strategy, policy and procedures. Drive awareness/compliance to adhere to such policies and procedures, through close collaboration and educating the internal customers and external vendors
- Centralize and implement NTP process for each spend category
- Initiate and implement cost savings projects, drive process improvements together with pricing rationalization with vendors to match with cost savings initiatives
- Continuously develop and maintain a vendor base that is sustainable, financially stable and strategic long term partners, who can consistently meet and exceed our requirements on cost (competitiveness), quality (product/service level) and delivery (on time per contract/agreed)
- Lead and support corporate projects i.e. office renovation and leasing review
- Get the best possible knowledge of the relevant stakeholder /corporate requirements and establish close contacts to ensure actual and future knowledge of internal demand and service quality requirement
- Provide guidance on strategic contract negotiations and comments on contract to maximize cost saving opportunity
- Responsible for vendor audit / assessment / evaluation and spend monitoring
- Maintain proper records of all procurement activities and drive centralized documentation according to group standard
Leadership responsibilities
- Manage and oversee team’s delivery of team/function goals to drive execution against goals set
- Drive and manage learning and development of team in the area of Procurement Management and DKSH behavior to achieve team/function goals
- Drive self-learning and improvement in the area of Procurement Management and DKSH behavior as part of continuous learning
Job Requirements
- Strong understanding of business operations and industry practices.
- Proven hands-on experience in procurement, contract management, and vendor management, including exposure to relevant ERP systems.
- Experience with SAP or similar enterprise systems is an advantage.
- Strong project management, problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in office productivity tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Sound knowledge of commercial and contractual considerations related to suppliers (e.g. supply and risk management).
- Fluency in English and Chinese (written and spoken).
Qualifications
- Degree or professional qualification in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience with strong exposure to operational procurement processes; experience with freight forwarders and supply chain management is an advantage.
