We are currently looking for a Supply and Demand Planner who will be responsible for all forecasting activities associated with customers and products. Creates and maintains forecast models, incorporating business analysis and forecast information gathered from the business

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Lead collaborative relationships with Account Managers, Product Managers, Supply Chain Management, Inbound Logistics and Customer Service, to drive resolution of issues
  • Prepare analysis and conduct demand review meetings, facilitating discussions
  • Develop demand forecasts for multiple time horizons
  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results
  • Interact with the commercial managers to understand normal and abnormal demand forecast drivers
  • Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with commercial managers, obtaining and ensuring current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts
  • Continuously monitor inventory levels to minimize obsolescence, expiring and stock outs risks
  • Provide input within the inventory planning process developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs
  • Facilitate cross-functional discussions and drive actions in identifying potential demand and supply issues quickly, to reduce inventory obsolescence risk

 

To be successful you will have:

  • Degree in Supply chain, Business, Finance, or Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in relevant roles engaging directly with commercial teams, ideally in distribution businesses
  • Strong experience in dealing with inventory management issues, in particular identification and resolution of root causes of excess inventory and stock outs
  • Commercial acumen and financial literacy, with strong analytical skills
  • The technology capability to drive outcomes with the right combination of SAP MRP, Power BI and excel applications
  • Strengths in project management; supply chain concepts, and a good understanding of Performance Materials products and its compliance environment
  • Proactive, effective communicator, relationship builder, strategically dynamic, committed, entrepreneurial, pragmatic, resourceful, tenacity and perseverance
  • High attention to detail and sense of urgency
