As a Senior Commercial Analyst - Finance, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial and commercial insights that support strategic decision-making. You will analyse business performance, market trends, and pricing strategies to enhance profitability and operational efficiency. This role requires strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to work cross-functionally within a dynamic and competitive market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct financial modelling, margin analysis, and profitability assessments across product lines, customers, and suppliers.
• Analyse sales and cost trends to identify risks and opportunities.
• Develop business cases for pricing strategies, supplier negotiations, and investment decisions.
• Analyse and propose tail optimisation strategies
• Prepare and deliver timely and accurate financial reporting and information in a standard and consistent format, on a weekly, monthly and annual basis
• Prepare and present performance reports, dashboards, and KPIs to senior management.
• Monitor product, customer and client profitability, identifying areas for improvement.
• Evaluate the impact of external factors (exchange rates, raw material costs, tariffs, etc.) on business performance.
• Collaborate with sales, procurement, supply chain, and finance teams to optimise commercial outcomes.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.
• Support strategic initiatives by providing financial advice, analysis, comparisons, and an opinion in a clear, simple and professional format to support decisions for any business requirement including business development pipeline or new opportunities
• Provide data-driven recommendations to improve pricing strategies and market positioning

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. CPA/CA/CFA preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in commercial finance, FP&A, or business analysis.
• Strong financial modelling, data analytics, and dashboarding skills.
• Proficiency in Power BI, SAP BW and SAP is essential
• Experience with import costing, foreign exchange impacts, and supply chain finance.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Prior experience in the performance materials, chemicals, or specialty ingredients sector is highly desirable.
• Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving business environment
• Ability to work effectively with cross functional and cross divisional teams
• Self-starter with strong planning and time management skills.
