As a merchandiser you are responsible for the placement of stock and displays in designated retail stores. You will manage the inventory and merchandising displays. You will report any issues with the designated stores. This will include Myer and David Jones stores in key metropolitan locations along with any other housewares retailers as directed by National Account Managers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Arrange display stands  and ensure stand meets company expectations and standards
• Ensure that all products are correctly priced.
• Remove aged or damaged products.
• Maintaining a clean and tidy display area.
• Ensuring the work area is safe for yourself and others.
• Report quality, supply and sell through issues.
• Report incidents to your Area Manager.
• Report store decisions that may positively or negatively impact our business.
• Develop positive relationships with store staff and store management.
• positive "can do" attitude with a problem-solving mentality
• The ability to work extra hours during peak periods
• Stock rotation
• Administration
• Shelf filling
• Returns and credits

Qualifications and Skills:

• Basic housewares products is desirable and a passion for cooking and food/meal preparation is desires
• Excellent time management, attention to detail and organizational skills
• An Australian Drivers’ license with a reliable motor vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
• Knowledge of planograms, refits and ticketing standards
• Visual Merchandising qualification (desirable but not a must)
• Retail, sales or grocery experience highly regarded
• Previous merchandising experience preferred
