About the Role
The Logistics Coordinator is a 12-month fixed-term contract supporting our Technology and Healthcare businesses. This role is responsible for managing the inbound logistics process from the point a supplier purchase order has been confirmed, and an Estimated Time of Departure (ETD) has been provided. The role coordinates the movement of goods from suppliers to DKSH warehouses, ensuring accurate shipment creation, proactive tracking, timely goods receipt, and effective communication with freight forwarders, suppliers, warehouses, and internal stakeholders.
You will take ownership of inbound purchase orders from confirmed supplier ETD through to final warehouse receipt, ensuring shipments remain visible, accurately maintained and actively managed throughout the inbound process.
What You Will Deliver
- Take ownership of inbound purchase orders from confirmed supplier ETD through to final warehouse receipt
- Create and maintain inbound deliveries and shipment records within SAP and associated systems
- Maintain accurate shipment ETAs and proactively escalate delays, shortages and supply risks
- Coordinate shipment bookings and liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and warehouse teams
- Track container movements, airfreight shipments, courier deliveries, and local supplier deliveries
- Monitor shipment progress from origin through to warehouse receipt and ensure inbound shipments remain visible and actively managed through to completion
- Obtain and validate shipping documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, airway bills, certificates, and import permits
- Support compliance with customs, biosecurity, dangerous goods, and regulatory requirements through the Regulatory Affairs team
- Ensure freight costs are accurately captured and allocated to shipments prior to goods receipt where applicable
- Maintain accurate shipment master data, ETA information, and transport milestones
- Generate and analyse logistics reports relating to shipment performance, transit times, and freight costs
- Provide proactive shipment updates to Supply Planning, Customer Care, Product Management, and Warehouse Operations
- Coordinate with warehouse operations to support timely goods receipt and resolution of inbound delivery issues
- Investigate and resolve shipment discrepancies, delays, damages, and delivery issues
- Identify opportunities to improve inbound visibility, shipment accuracy, and logistics efficiency
- Support logistics process improvements, system enhancements and SOP development
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, Commerce, or a related discipline preferred
- 3-5 years' experience in logistics, shipping, freight forwarding, import/export, or supply chain operations
- Experience working with international suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and third-party logistics (3PL/4PL) providers
- Experience coordinating inbound shipments with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and warehouse operations
- Strong knowledge of international shipping processes, Incoterms, customs clearance, shipping documentation, and import requirements
- Experience using SAP or a similar ERP system for inbound deliveries, shipment tracking, goods receipt and freight cost management; SAP S/4HANA experience would be highly regarded
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel; experience with Power BI or other reporting tools would be advantageous
- Experience within medical devices, scientific, healthcare, technology or another regulated industry would be highly regarded
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple shipments and competing priorities
