The Inventory Controller is responsible for performing an array of inventory duties such as returns management, cycle counting, inventory investigations, replenishments, storage bin management, SLOB management, systems data management. This role will work very closely with the Warehouse Manager and be a contributing part of the leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stock consolidation performed on a regular basis
- Material master support
- Replenishments performed in accordance with manual and systems requests
- Cycle counting performed daily
- Inventory investigations and reconciliation
- Returns Management
- Damages and Quality Management
- Storage bin assessment & management – both physical and system matching
- Slow moving and obsolete stock management
- Record and manage all discrepancies including impaired or damaged stock, incorrect locations or incorrect pick quantities or product
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers
Qualifications and Skills:
- Forklift Operation Certification
- Previous working experience as a Warehouse Worker for (3) years
- 2 years’ experience using SAP
- Hands on experience with inventory and logistics software programs
- Great physical stamina and manual dexterity
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills, effective communication with the DC team, freight carriers and management
- Good Problem-Solving skills
- Positive attitude to drive and motivate people on the floor to get the operations run smoothly
- Strong computer/ technology skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite
