The Administrator Distribution Centre Operations plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse logistics and inventory management. This position is responsible for overseeing incoming receivables and coordinating the dispatch of outbound shipments. This role will work very closely with the Warehouse Manager and be a contributing part of the leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor inbound and outbound logistics activities
- Manage the equipment portfolio, aligning inventory records, and delegate daily operational tasks to team members
- Effective communication with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and internal stakeholders is essential to maintain service excellence and operational efficiency
- Apply 5S principles—Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain—to drive workplace organization, cleanliness, and operational discipline
- Assist in staff performance, coordinates workflows, and ensure that the distribution centre operates in alignment with company policies and service level expectations
- Identify and resolve operational issues to minimize delays and disruptions
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and take ownership of the physical environment to support long-term efficiency and team morale
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment preferred
- 2 years’ experience using SAP
- Releasing of daily orders to pick teams
- Adjust to "strong computer literacy required"
- Approving of Consumable invoices
- Working knowledge of 5S
- Basic computer literacy (e.g., for inventory systems or scanners)
- Forklift license (if applicable to the role)
- Good physical fitness – ability to lift, move, and handle goods safely
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
