Description: 

General responsibilities

  • Lead the DKSH-MES Philippines Patient & Payor Solutions teams, growing the business with pharma/ medical device clients
  • Grow and lead Business Development to win more clients / customers and programs
  • Build new innovative solutions that are key for the Philippine market
  • Lead the business including Client Success, Operations and the P&L of the operation
  • Shape the thinking of the Philippine healthcare market in relation to next-generation healthcare delivered using Patient Support Programs
  • Build and develop country team(s) development covering key activities prerequisite for business-building and client/customer success
  • Work closely with DKSH-MES HEC BU to bring synergies and win more commercial & distribution deals and renewals
  • Build and develop country Operations team(s) development covering key activities to ensure smooth, compliant and scalable operation.
  • Support Patient Solutions Leadership Team and work closely with the Regional Team to ensure that PH’s requirements are met, and contribute to the regional ambitions
  • Lead and inspire the team on business process transformation and secure/ align cross-functional country resources for project support
  • Manage operating budgets and costs according to annual allocation to ensure efficient usage of resources, where applicable
  • Oversee business analysis, evaluate findings, to develop new Patient & Payor solutions for clients/customers and stakeholders
  • Lead pricing and contract negotiation activities with prospective clients  (biopharmaceuticals & medical device firms) and customers (pharmacies, hospitals & clinics) to facilitate deal closing. Simultaneously advise on upselling opportunities and oversee contract renegotiations with existing clients
  • Engage with key local stakeholders (pharmaceuticals society, patient advocacy groups, payors, regulators, hospital administrators, etc.) to identify opportunities for patient support
  • Ensure that Ethics and Compliance for patients’ and programs are prioritized over all other aspects/ variables considered alongside proactive audit preparedness of the operations

 

 

 

  • Influence without authority, demonstrate credibility and win trust amongst stakeholders (country leadership team, clients, customers, and other country cross-functional groups)
  • Work closely with team to ensure client satisfaction, upselling/ renewals and the focus on Ethics and Compliance in how programs are managed

Functional skills and knowledge

  • Deep understanding of healthcare systems, stakeholders & trends in Philippines
  • Highly proficient with MS Office (PowerPoint & Excel) for developing insights and communications for a wide range of stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of client business critical topics
  • Demonstrate business development experience in applying business development principles for medium- to large-sized companies in similar industries for market access/patient access and adherence projects
  • Demonstrate business acumen, analytical and business analysis skills
  • Demonstrate skills in market research and audit
  • Proven client and customer account management skills
  • Demonstrate ability to manage global/regional/country level assignments and projects
  • Demonstrate appreciation and respect for cultural sensitivities especially in cross-country/-cultural interactions
  • Demonstrate fluency in English (both written and spoken)

Education

  • Excellent grades with a BS Pharmacy / Business Administration from a reputable university.
  • College degree in a Science discipline or Business Administration is preferred

  • Minimum 5-years experience in pharmaceuticals / biopharmaceuticals & medical devices / diagnostics
