Job Summary
Finance business partner to the region, covering management reporting, analysis, performance tracking and issue management, decision support, budgeting/planning, investment, contract appraisal and working capital control
General Responsibilities
- Target and estimate accuracy, working capital control, business performance (top line, costs and EBIT), currency impact
- Support superior in managing day-to-day operating expenditures against operating budgets to ensure efficient usage of resources
- Support annual target setting process within the region. Establish targets together with local/regional management. Prepare presentations to Business Unit management
- Analyze monthly performance based on various data sources (Crystal, Prism, etc.) to derive a consistent picture of current performance, key issues and action items. Prepare and present the region's monthly operations review to the Business Unit Head
- Support regional management on contractual negotiations, client/customer profitability analysis, internal and external presentations, issues tracking and management, investments and other key developments that require financial inputs
- Provide proactive, in-depth analysis and subsequent challenges for the region on key financial items such as advertising and promotion spend, working capital utilisation and cost development
- Support the region on strategy setting and strategic projects such as M&A due dilligence, restructurings, disposals, joint venture negotiations/management, etc.
- Participate and drive within the region continuous improvement initiatives to streamline Business Unit controlling processes/reporting and improve efficiencies through a better utilization of automated systems (Lighthouse, CORE, MORE, etc.)
- Manage internal interactions across the region on matters related to business controlling to ensure timely understanding of financial performance and adequate management of any financial issues
- Work with local Business Unit controllers to drive consistency of analytics and reporting. Drive high quality business control support to the region
Functional Skills and Knowledge
- Demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of the business and industry
- Demonstrate sound knowledge and application of local/international accounting standards, principles and practices
- Proven hands-on experience in SAP accounting applications is an advantage
- Demonstrate strong research and analytical skills, including statistical computations
- Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Demonstrate fluency in English (both written and spoken)
Education
Degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
