Aim of function

Thru a team of CTC officers, Ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of imports and exports transactions. And monitoring of the shipments to ensure the compliance of regulations. Making sure that all import and export activities are aligned with the acceptable rules and regulations of the Management. Collabate with internal Logistics group, Brokers and Forwarders and design cost effective methods and analyze best means of transport as per customer requirements in coordination with various Business Lines head.

 

 

Main duties

 

Customs and Trade Compliance

 

  1. Manage the Customs and Trade Compliance Team's day-to-day operations of import/export compliance to ensure compliance with all applicable laws/regulations and timely clearance of shipments.
    • Process and ensure on time applications and renewal of various import and export permits. And execute customs compliance policy and standard operating procedures in accordance to industry standards and relevant laws and regulations.
    • Coordinate shipping/inbound documentation and receiving processes to ensure compliance to standard operating procedures and related laws and requirements.
    • Review and monitor all customs rejections, requests for information and other correspondence to ensure timely clearance of import shipments.
    • Identify and complete transaction tasks that require special handling or expediting to produce customs entry processing.
    • Recommend changes to the polices and standard operating procedures based on regulatory changes impacting customs compliance.
    • Collaborate with internal functions to obtain necessary information to ensure timely and accurate completion of export/import documentation.
    •  
    • Respond to inquiries from customs brokers and resolve problems impacting import shipments.
    • Track and follow through the releasing of Imported shipments and communicate to stock owners/Business Lines on status.
    • Ensure the accuracy of the Duties and Taxes computations and export declaration prior payment.
    • Provide all necessary information related to Landed Cost computation.
    • Responsible in Customs issues; Re-lodgment of duties and taxes, Post entry audit, releasing under protest, amendment and lifting of abandonment process.
    • Resnponsible for the internal accreditation of service provider (Broker and Forwarder) and ensure proper selection including rates negotiation.
    • Responsible for CO evaluation and application.
    • Responsible for letter of credit application and other bank requirements related to importation and payment processing.
    • Conduct refresher course/seminar pertaining to import and export procedures.

 2. Lead in the process for AEO Accreditation and maintaining this status

3. Collaborate with the Regional CTC Lead for process improvement projects

 

Additional duties

 

 

  1. Provide all the necessary documents, reports and requirements pertaining to liquidation of Palsgaard transaction under Customs Bonded Warehouse.
  2. Validation of Brokers and Forwarders billing.
  3. On time submission of documents to Finance needed for GR/IR closing and payment.
  4. Monitoring of Open PO and ensure the required delivery will be met.
  5. Monitor the availability of various permits such as; SQI and PMPIN from DENR, LTO and CPR from FDA, SPS from DA and other permits from SRA, PDEA and BIR.
  6. Safekepping of documents as to compliance with the required period of Customs and BIR.

 

 

Education and Experience Required

  1. Graduate of BS Customs Administration
  2. Certified / licensed Customs Broker
  3. Minimum 10 years experience as Customs Compliance Officer
  4. Managed a team of 5 to 10 CCOs
  5. Preferably had worked in various trading and manufacturing capacities 
  6. Demonstrated experience in SAP or any equivalent ERP system
  7. Demonstrate advanced knowledge in all applicable export and import laws and regulations.

 

  1. Demonstrate basic understanding of supply chain, distribution, transport and logistics.

 

  1. Proven experience in international trade and customs compliance, preferably in a multi-national environment.

 

  1. Working knowledge on SHE programs, GWP, GMP
