About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Australia's leading healthcare services and market expansion businesses. As the Senior Finance Business Partner working with the Healthcare Business Unit (HEC), you will play a critical role in shaping business strategy, driving profitable growth, and providing financial leadership across a diverse portfolio of healthcare offerings.


As a key member of both the Healthcare Leadership Team and the Australia Finance Leadership Team, you will act as a trusted advisor to the Healthcare Business Unit Head while partnering closely with the Director, Finance Australia and New Zealand and Global Healthcare Finance Business Partner.


This role combines strategic business partnering with hands-on financial leadership. While responsible for influencing commercial outcomes and shaping business strategy, the successful candidate will also maintain ownership of key financial processes including month-end close activities, management reporting, forecasting, budgeting and performance analysis. As such, the role requires a highly capable self-starter who is equally comfortable operating at both a strategic and operational level.

 

What You Will Deliver

  • Partner with the Healthcare Leadership Team as the lead finance business partner, providing strategic and commercial guidance to drive profitable growth
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on financial performance, investment decisions, business opportunities and strategic priorities
  • Lead financial planning activities including budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning and performance management
  • Deliver insightful financial analysis, reporting and recommendations to support informed decision-making
  • Own performance reporting across revenue, profitability, EBIT, working capital and cash flow metrics
  • Evaluate major commercial opportunities, tenders, investments, partnerships and growth initiatives through robust business case analysis
  • Develop financial models, scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to support strategic and operational decisions
  • Identify and deliver opportunities to improve profitability through pricing, commercial optimisation and operational efficiencies
  • Lead monthly business performance reviews, variance analysis and management reporting for local, regional and global stakeholders
  • Ensure strong financial governance, accurate reporting, risk management and compliance with internal policies and controls
  • Drive continuous improvement across reporting, forecasting, analytics and finance processes, leveraging tools such as Power BI
  • Build and influence strong relationships across Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, Regulatory and Finance teams, both locally and globally
  • Contribute as a finance leader by championing accountability, commercial excellence, transformation initiatives and continuous improvement across the business.

 

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics or a related discipline
  • CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred
  • 8-12+ years' experience in commercial finance, business partnering, FP&A or strategic finance roles
  • Experience within healthcare, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, healthcare services, life sciences or similarly regulated industries is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with senior business leaders and influencing commercial decision-making
  • Strong financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting and business case evaluation capabilities
  • Experience preparing executive-level reporting and presenting financial insights to senior stakeholders
  • Experience working within complex matrix organisations with both local and global stakeholder groups
  • Advanced Excel and financial systems capability; experience with Power BI or similar analytical tools preferred
  • Comfortable operating independently and taking ownership
  • Demonstrates a high degree of accountability, ownership and resilience
  • Strong problem-solving capability with the ability to translate complex issues into practical recommendations
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to build credibility and trust across all levels of the organization.
