Market Development Manager – Location Western Australia
DKSH Agrisolutions specialises in the development and formulation of premium agricultural crop protection adjuvants and specialty products for broadacre, cotton, horticulture, and turf applications in Australia and New Zealand. We are currently seeking a Market Development Manager for our Agricultural division. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of agricultural practices and adjuvants, combined with a strong record in market development and customer engagement. This role is pivotal in driving the adoption and growth of our adjuvant products primarily within the broadacre sector.
Your responsibilities will include forging partnerships with influential figures in agronomy and consultancy sectors to promote the adoption of innovative technologies such as SE14, Biopest, Plantocrop, Enhance, Companion, and Spreadwet 1000.
General Responsibilities
- Provide onsite agronomic and technical support to clients to recommend appropriate products and services to strengthen their business.
- Conduct marketing field trials and organise third-party trials and demonstrations for grower days, consultants, government departments and field day organisations
- Formulate and execute strategies to identify and cultivate new agronomic sales opportunities for prospective and existing clients within the agricultural sector across the WA market.
- Engage in frequent travel and maintain regular communication with growers, retailers, and consultant groups to build strong relationships, determine client requirements and deliver solutions.
- Keep up to date with the latest plant production practices and be the go-to subject matter expert in the region for SE14 and other key DKSH adjuvants.
Functional Skills and Knowledge
- Tertiary qualification in agricultural science or a related field
- Genuine passion for the agriculture industry and a background in disciplines such as crop, weed, disease, pasture, broadacre, cotton and horticulture.
- Established yourself as a trusted advisor in an agronomy role and demonstrate an understanding of the products, seasonal timings, and general requirements of rural producers.
- A strong network of contacts within the WA agricultural industry
- An ability to provide high level customer service and cultivate relationships with potential and current growers, consultants, and retailers.
- Analytical and data-driven, a confident public speaker with natural leadership skills, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license and demonstrate readiness to travel for client engagements extensively within the assigned territory.
