Title: Manager Supply Chain Development
Singapore, SG, SG
Lead and oversee supply chain reengineering and optimization initiatives to enhance service delivery, improve productivity and reduce costs. This includes warehouse technology, material handling, layout, storage, and customer delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure efficient allocation of resources, where applicable
- Lead the development and implementation of industrial engineering tools, methodologies and standards for continuous improvement of Supply Chain function
- Lead and oversee the new/upgrading of existing distribution centers including supply chain design studies, business case preparation, costing and project management of distribution center construction
- Lead the optimization of intra-warehouse processes and material flows including warehouse layout, sizing, materials storage, material handling systems and automations
- Establish performance measurement tools and standards to monitor supply chain performance including service level agreements, performance standards and customer services standards
- Lead the implementation of standardized 5S, OHE and good distribution practices and concepts for supply chain reengineering and optimization
- Champion continuous improvement through innovation to increase efficiency/productivity and reduce unit cost in all stages of distribution
- Provide technical thought leadership on logistics and warehousing analysis and improvement
- Collaborate with management to obtain their support in optimizing Supply Chain functions
- Manage and oversee project goals and drive execution against project objectives
- Drive and manage learning and development of team in the area of Supply Chain Management and DKSH behaviors to achieve team/function goals
- Drive self-learning and improvement in the area of Supply Chain Management and DKSH behaviors as part of continuous learning
Requirements:
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of distribution centers, distribution and transport operations
- Demonstrate an advanced understanding of industrial engineering fundamentals and logistics solution design
- Proven experience with productivity and cost optimization project management
- Demonstrate knowledge of supply chain best practices
- Demonstrate knowledge of 5S, OHE, good distribution practices and LEAN Six Sigma principles and standards
- Demonstrate ability to manage large and complex projects successfully
- Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Demonstrate fluency in English, both written and spoken to faciliate communication with internal and external teams
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related field
Work experience:
- Minimum five to eight years’ experience in a similar role
- Minimum three to four years’ experience in a managerial capacity
