About the Role
The Assistant Credit Control (6 months contract) supports DKSH's credit control function by ensuring sound governance, timely collections, and accurate maintenance of customer credit information. This role contributes directly to the organization's financial health by upholding credit policies and facilitating effective debtor management.
What You Will Deliver
- Support the efficient management of day-to-day operating expenditures against budgets to ensure responsible resource utilization
- Uphold governance over the credit control and collections function through consistent implementation of credit policies, processes, and internal controls
- Compile corporate and financial information on new customers to support accurate creditworthiness verification
- Prepare credit and collection history summaries for existing customers to enable informed decision-making and effective tracking
- Drive timely collections by following up on payments due, resolving basic disputes, and providing clear clarifications to debtors
- Maintain system accuracy by ensuring updated payment terms, conditions, and credit limits are captured following customer renegotiations
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that streamline credit control processes and enhance the utilization of automated systems
- Deliver timely and accurate reporting to internal stakeholders on debtors' outstanding balances and collection status
- Collaborate with customers on collections and balance reconciliation to ensure accurate and timely recovery of payments
What You Bring
- Diploma or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Basic knowledge and understanding of the business and industry
- Basic knowledge and application of local and international accounting standards, principles, and practices; credit control experience is preferred
- Hands-on experience with SAP accounting applications is an advantage
- Basic research and analytical skills
- Proficiency in office productivity tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Fluency in the local language and ideally in English, both written and spoken
