Title: Assistant Manager BU Controlling

Job Summary
Assist in managing China Performance Material Business Unit's management reporting, analysis, performance tracking and issue management, decision support, budgeting/planning, investment, and working capital control.
General Responsibilities
1. Assist Business Partner Manager, Performance Material BU to deliver high quality financial support and continuously improve productivity.
2. Provide analysis on BU and BL performances based on various data sources (SAP, Lighthouse, echo report, etc.) to derive a clear picture of current performance, key issues and action items. Assist in presenting Business Line's monthly performance to BU head and BLM in the monthly meeting.
3. Prepare in-depth analyses and commentaries to facilitate decision making on key financial items such as sales, margin development, client and customer performance, rebate, working capital improvement (AR, inventory, AP, etc)
4. Prepare rolling forecast each month and prepare annual budget templates accordingly to global instruction. Assist in consolidation of BL documents and prepare presentation slide if needed.
5. Coordinate with Shared-service center on month end closing, ensure both P&L and B/S items are correctly reflected business performance.
6. Assist global or local projects based on request, including internal control system review, system automation, etc.

Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the business and industry, chemical or ingredients’ industry is preferred.
Demonstrate solid knowledge of accounting standards, principles and practices
Demonstrate strong financial analytical skills
Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Demonstrate fluency in English (both written and spoken)
Proven experience in software. SAP, PowerBI or HFM knowledge is preferred
CPA or CMA is preferred
Soft skills
Quick learner, logical thinking ability, data sensitive, self-motivated, good communication skill, hands-on, able to deal with multi-tasks.
Work experience
Over 5 yrs experience in multi-national company, chemical industry or trading company preferred
Minimum 2 yrs experience in a similar role, preferably with controlling or FP&A exposure
Education
Bachelor degree or above, major in finance or finance relevant
