Our quest for excellence continues as we seek a dynamic, experienced Commercial Manager for the Specialty Chemicals Industry, with a focus on the Agricultural, Infrastructure and Mining industries. We're looking for someone who can establish and nurture deep and robust relationships that not only maximize sales with our medium to high-value customers but also champion and cultivate assigned client portfolios within our team.
Key responsibilities:
- Strategically align client objectives with DKSH's commercial objectives, ensuring a synergy that drives mutual growth, commitment and maximises client engagement
- Continuously tend to client product portfolios, identify unique value propositions that position us optimally against competitor products, farm your portfolio for growth and develop go-to-market plans that collaborate with the national team to create new opportunities.
- Identify key contacts within the customer, nurture long term relationships, develop an intimate understanding of their business needs and future aspirations, positioning us as their trusted partner
- Identify gaps in the existing product portfolio and work with stakeholders to introduce new opportunities.
- Develop and implement local go-to-market, sales and customer strategies engaging in negotiations, forging partnerships and seizing major project opportunities to solidify our position as the leading supplier of specialty chemicals.
- Devise effective pricing strategies to safeguard gross margins while promoting growth
- Harness the power of DKSH's digital marketing capabilities to expedite project development and amplify the brand value for our clients
- Maintain and report via DKSH’s Salesforce CRM tool
- Accurately forecast customer demand to optimize inventory positions
- Create business development and tactical implementation plans capturing new leads to generate a project pipeline
Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree in Chemistry/Science, or related technical degree or adequate in-field experience
- Preferences for demonstrated success in technical sales and product management within the specialty chemical distribution or manufacturing sector
- Self-driven, ability to work autonomously in satellite office environment
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Financial acumen within Commercial framework
- Contract negotiation experience preferred
- Proficient computing skills – MS, Excel etc.
- Experience with Salesforce
- A robust network and in-depth experience in the Infrastructure, Agriculture and/or Mining industry to navigate the complexities of our target markets
- Proficiency in key account management, emphasizing the ability to nurture and expand existing client relationships
