Title: Assistant Manager, Technical Sales

Job Summary
Exploring new markets, develop new accounts, driving the sales and distribution activities of industrial and specialty chemicals products to existing and new customers in the industries.
General Responsibilities
- Prioritize and review daily sales activities performed by sales employees.
- Identify and recommend initiatives to enhance service competitiveness in order to increase sales and volumes.
- Delegate work responsibilities and schedules to field sales employees to meet customer demands.
- Call/visit existing and prospective customers to solicit orders, gain demonstrations and quotation opportunities.
- Conduct product demonstrations and emphasize salable features/customer benefits.
- Prepare quotation/tender prices, delivery and commercial terms in accordance with company policies.
- Manage and monitor sales activity in the assigned territory to support the sales business.
- Manage negotiations with potential client/customers to ensure price competitiveness.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with clients, suppliers and customers.
- Participate actively in the business development by identifying new clients to be distributed in the assigned territory.
- Report on the activities and products of the competitors.
- Record sales data for reporting and tracking purposes. Maintain relevant customer data in appropriate customer relationship management databases.
- Respond to customer orders and queries. Inform current and prospective customers of promotions and new/upgraded products.
- Support internal stakeholders in relationship development with key customers
Functional Skills and Knowledge
- Demonstrate sales and technical knowledge in Performance Materials.
- Demonstrate strong industry/market knowledge.
- Demonstrate skills and experience in team management
- Demonstrate fluency in local language and in English, both written and spoken
Education
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry/ Food Technology/ any related disciplines
