Title: Assistant Finance Client Support

Job Summary
Support general accounting activities, including general ledger recording and accounting for inventory, accounts receivable, accounts payable, tax, corporate finance, treasury, etc. Prepare the relevant financial information as inputs to analysis and financial reports preparation
General Responsibilities
- Support superior in managing day-to-day operating expenditures against operating budgets to ensure efficient usage of resources
- Assist in the implementation of accounting processes and strong internal controls to ensure governance over accounting and reporting activities
- Record daily general journal/ledger entries accurately and on time. Support month-end and year-end closing activities in accordance to local/international accounting standards
- Gather, compile and prepare basic reports/information related to inventory, accounts receivable and accounts payable status reports, debtors' aging, collections status, etc. for analysis purposes
- Handle administrative matters relating to tax, corporate finance, treasury, working capital management, foreign exchange, etc.
- Prepare schedules, details of accounts and other financial information for the purposes of accounts analyses, reconciliations and financial reports preparation
- Provide administrative support to continous improvement initiatives to enhance the timeliness, accuracy and quality of accounting and financial reporting
- Compile and distribute financial information, including ad hoc reports and analyses as requested by internal stakeholders
- Respond to queries and requests for information by external auditors to facilitate the auditing process and statutory financial reporting
Functional Skills and Knowledge
- Demonstrate basic knowledge and understanding of the business and industry
- Demonstrate basic knowledge and application of local/international accounting standards, principles and practices
- Proven hands-on experience in SAP accounting applications is an advantage
- Demonstrate basic research and analytical skills
- Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Demonstrate fluency in local language and ideally in English, both written and spoken
Education
Diploma or professional qualification in Accounting/Finance or a related discipline
