Job Summary
To plan, organize and implement activities in line with Department marketing objectives, integrating directions from brand clients and local requirements, through the various marketing functions of advertising & promotions, product management and trade marketing.
Key Reponsibilities
- To manage the P&L of the appointed agency (ies) within assigned portfolio and ensure the yearly preset objectives are met through execution of sound marketing strategies / marketing plans.
- To work /execute on the approved Marketing Working Budget (MWB) and by optimizing allocated funds into building brand awareness & to promote the brands sell-through.
- To continuously strengthen mutually beneficial trading relationship with our clients through enhancing value and meeting agreed objectives.
- To resourcefully gather general market trend, market share and competitive information as guidance in gauging effectiveness of marketing activities.
- To ensure optimum balance between various marketing activities:
- Brand building exercises (media advertising, PR/ event sponsorships, product launches, sampling etc).
- Product / Category Education (internal & external product trainings, webinars etc).
- All trade marketing activities, (for example POSM deployment, promoters, fixtures, display stands, planogram, trade campaigns etc).
- Consumer marketing (sampling, bundle buys, gift with purchase, digital /ecommerce platforms etc)
General Responsibilities
Advertising & Promotion
- Formulate & monitor the implementation of A&P strategies and its effectiveness in meeting objectives.
- To work with media agency to ensure reasonable rates paid to media owners, effective touch points use (for the selected target audience) & establish close relation with media agencies and media owners.
- Consumer marketing (GWP, PWP etc.) to increase sell-through and strengthen market share.Product Management:
- To play a strategic role in ensuring range and product selection meets trends and requirements.
- To monitor the brand’s proactive approach towards consumer preferences at the local level.
- To ensure inventory levels are managed within contractual agreements.
- To ensure trade returns are managed within contractual agreements.
- To conduct financial feasibility study of promotion activities to ensure in line with profit objectives.
Business Management
- To ensure all marketing activities are within allocated A&P budget determined for relevant agencies.
- To ensure pre-financing of marketing activities on behalf of clients are recovered within agreed terms.
- To liaise closely with clients to secure full or partial activities funding ad-hoc activities.
Functional Skills and Knowledge
- Minimum 3-5 years relevant of work experience, preferably in a similar Industry.
- Possess good communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel - Pivot Table, V-lookup).
Education
Minimum Bachelors Degree in relevant field.
