About The Role
The Manager, Technical Sales leads the sales strategy and business development for the Pharmaceutical Ingredients (PHI) business line within DKSH's Performance Materials division in Malaysia. This role drives profitable revenue growth, strengthens key supplier and customer partnerships, and leads a sales team to deliver consistent commercial excellence.
What You Will Deliver
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan and sales strategy to achieve and exceed Pharmaceutical Ingredients (PHI) sales targets in Malaysia
- Take full ownership of overall sales target achievement, driving new business development initiatives that deliver sustainable and profitable growth
- Manage working capital for the PHI portfolio, including inventory management and timely customer payment collection, to maintain financial health
- Build and sustain strong relationships with key suppliers and customers, reinforcing DKSH's position as a trusted and preferred partner in the pharmaceutical ingredients market
- Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to drive consistent achievement of annual sales targets and ensure effective execution of the business strategy
- Drive the execution of commercial excellence initiatives to maximize profitable revenue across the PHI portfolio
- Ensure quality and consistency of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) reporting across all customer interactions within the sales team
- Deliver accurate sales forecasts and monthly and/or quarterly performance reports to suppliers and management to enable informed business decisions
- Align Performance Materials (PM) strategies with PHI core supplier strategies, and proactively monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and mitigate risks
- Administrative duties and coordination tasks as required
What You Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related life science field
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of the industry landscape, market dynamics, competitors, and customer needs
- Advanced knowledge of sales and marketing principles with a proven ability to develop and execute effective commercial strategies
- Strong research and analytical capabilities, with the ability to translate market intelligence into actionable business decisions
