Job Summary

Manage dealers and direct customer sales to achieve technical sales targets for assigned businesses/territories and overall business objectives for General Laboratory Instruments portfolio.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • To grow General Laboratory Instruments business in Malaysia in tandem with the growth of business
  • Manage a Sales team and dealers covering different product portfolio
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, key accounts and Clients
  • Ensure thorough market coverage in related industries and applications
  • Maintain constant discussions and update with immediate superior to ensure yearly sales target can be achieved
  • Timely submission of customer visit reports
  • Maintain a high level of technical and sales competence by keeping abreast with latest techniques and development of the products.
  • Ensuring that Company’s reputation for high quality products and services are maintained.
  • Use own initiative to acquire comprehensive product knowledge.
  • Organize and coordinate marketing activities.

 

Job Requirements

  • Degree or Masters in Science, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum five to eight years’ experience in a similar role
  • Minimum two to three years’ experience in a managerial capacity
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of product and understanding the industry needs, including
    • Ability to understand customer application and challenges in industry across the board
    • Knowledge in General Laboratory and application is an added advantage
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, analytical and presentation
  • Skill
  • Develop market knowledge by conducting thorough research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitors’ offerings
  • Ability to perform deep technical discussion on specific technics
  • Demonstrate effective interaction, and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams at all organizational levels
  • Action oriented, result driven
  • Strong interpersonal skill, and a good listener
  • Adaptive to dynamic and changing environment
  • Possess initiative, ethical and business judgement
  • Willingness to travel
