Job Summary
- The Manager, Compliance – Healthcare is responsible for overseeing and strengthening the Healthcare Business Unit’s compliance framework in Malaysia and Brunei, with a primary focus on Interactions with Healthcare Professionals (IHCP)
- This role leads the local compliance team, acts as a trusted advisor to the local management team, and ensures business integrity through proactive risk management, training, monitoring, and governance activities
- The position requires a strong balance between advisory and enforcement responsibilities, ensuring DKSH’s operations align with internal standards, local laws, and global healthcare compliance expectations.
General Responsibilities

Advisory & Governance
- Serve as the primary compliance advisor to the Malaysia and Brunei management teams and business leaders
- Responsible for implementation and oversight of tool for interactions with HCPs/HCOs
- Review and approve IHCP engagements, sponsorships, grants, and third-party relationships (may coordinate for multiple markets)
- Support risk assessments, compliance reviews, and self-monitoring processes
- Coordinate with Group and regional compliance functions to implement new policies, controls, and awareness initiatives.
Program Implementation
- Drive implementation of global and regional compliance programs locally, including training, communications, monitoring, and reporting activities
- Lead training initiatives
- Lead investigations and ensure timely reporting and corrective action follow-up.
- Partner with functional stakeholders (Finance, HR, Supply Chain, Legal) to embed compliance controls in business processes
- Actively monitor regulatory requirements and ensure proper implementation
Functional Skills and Knowledge
- 4-8 years experience in a similar role. Exposure and substantial experience in the Healthcare or Consumer Goods industries is preferred.
- In-depth understanding of Healthcare and Pharma compliance frameworks, including IHCP, ABAC (Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption), FCPA, and relevant industry codes (e.g., APACMed, PhAMA, IFPM)
- Experience in training staff (incl leadership), senior stakeholder management
- Deep knowledge of tools that capture/manage IHCP (or similar) approval workflows
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of an effective corporate compliance and ethics programs as illustrated in the US department of justice’s “effective compliance programs guidelines”
- Previous experience working as a compliance professional, in a similar level of seniority, in a multinational company
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- PowerBI experience is preferred
Education
- Degree in business, finance, accounting or legal is preferred.
- Relevant compliance certifications (e.g., SCCE) is an advantage.
