Job Summary
Manage the technical service and maintenance team to provide timely and reliable technical services to customers and clients, as well as DKSH operating facilities. This includes installation, warranty, repair and maintenance services
General Responsibilities
- Manage operating departmental budgets and costs according to annual allocation to ensure efficient usage of resources, where applicable
- Manage and enhance technical service procedures and structures to improve quality of service, reduce turnaround times and optimize costs
- Identify and recommend initiatives to enhance service competitiveness in order to increase services contact sales and volumes
- Delegate work responsibilities and schedules to field service employees to meet customer needs
- Diagnose cause of malfunctions or failures of service equipment and take corrective actions
- Manage and monitor service tools/spare parts inventory to support the service business
- Support negotiations with potential client/customers to secure maintenance contracts
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with suppliers and customers
- Manage and resolve customers' technical and quality issues by providing technical leadership and coaching to field service engineers
Functional Skills and Knowledge
- Demonstrate working knowledge in scientific and medical instruments
- Demonstrate working knowledge and experience in trouble-shooting of technology and scientific equipment
- Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Demonstrate fluency in English, both written and spoken
Education
Degree in Engineering (Electronic, Electrical, Mechanic, Bio-Engineering) or related field
