Title: Manager, Demand Planning

Job summary:
Actively lead improvements in demand forecasting by embedding S&OP process within demand planning and business partners. Identify Opportunities, Risks and other best practices and disseminating to colleagues. Manage and facilitate product demand forecasting for mid-long term horizon, incorporating various sources (e.g. sales, marketing, market & statistics.) to achieve the budget and desired service level and other key KPIs. Main driver of S&OP process
General responsibilities:
- Working with key customers on developing effective forecast models based on trends and demand patterns
- Proposing and implementing solutions to improve customer’s demand forecast accuracy
- Monitoring and reporting on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies
- Updating forecasts for new products, seasonal products, discounts, and promotions
- Scheduling regular forecast review meetings with customer and DKSH internal stake holders to have one consensus forecast
- Working closely with client management team to ensure stock allocated according to the agreed forecast with customer
- Ensure allocated stock release back for sales in weekly basis for any customer’s forecast consumption missed
- Communicated and work with Customer’s Demand & Supply team on alternative solution / opportunities when there is known constraint that impacting on future demand
- Develop and execute product demand plans to meet organization goals.
- Provide support in developing seasonal demand forecasts and anticipate customers reactions to the promotions and discounts
- Develop demand forecasts based on demand patterns and business trends. Understanding high level / Global awareness impact to demand forecasting.
- Maintain demand plan to ensure cost effectiveness and to meet customer demands
- Assist in risk assessment and mitigation activities. (ROI/ past performance)
- Work closely with stakeholders resolving any demand related queries and issues in a timely manner.
- KPI = Forecast accuracy and Forecast bias. In-depth root cause analysis.
- Manage the SKU rationalization process
- Key member of S&OP process, onboarding customers to S&OP process.
- Work as team member to ensure effective delivery of team’s goals
- Drive self-learning and improvement in the area of Forecasting and DKSH behaviours as part of continuous learning
Functional skills and knowledge:
- Demonstrate strong understanding and practitioner of Sales & Operation Planning (S&OP) process
- Demonstrate advanced understanding of demand forecasting methodology/tools
- Demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Demonstrate business/commercial acumen skills and consumer goods market understanding
- Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Demonstrate fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Strong understanding of supply chain management
- Demonstrate strong stakeholders' management, active business partnering role and negotiation skills
Education:
Degree in business, supply chain, logistics or related field
Work experience:
Minimum three to five years’ experience in a similar role
