About the Role

The Innovation Center Technical Service Executive / Senior Executive is a technically driven role that supports customer project success, application development, and product evaluation across DKSH's Food and Beverage Ingredients portfolio in Malaysia. Working in close partnership with the commercial team and principals, this role translates technical expertise into real-world food solutions that enable customer growth and commercialization.

 What You Will Deliver

• Uphold product formulation guidelines and ensure procedure compliance to drive improvements in product quality, cost efficiency, performance, and manufacturing simplicity
• Execute product formulation work at laboratory and pilot scale, ensuring reliable and high-quality outputs that meet both customer expectations and business standards
• Manage product development projects end-to-end, ensuring resources are planned effectively and deliverables are met on schedule
• Review and compile emerging product trends, ingredient innovations, and new development processes to identify and act on opportunities for continuous product improvement
• Plan and deliver technical training programs for the sales team to build their product knowledge and technical confidence, enhancing customer-facing effectiveness
• Maintain laboratory equipment standards and enforce safety protocol compliance, ensuring all product designs meet regulatory and safety requirements
• Partner with the sales team on key customer visits to deliver expert technical advice and tailored ingredient solutions that support project conversion
• Manage the ingredient and flavour sample library to support external sampling requests and internal application research activities
• Administrative duties and coordination tasks as required 

 What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Food Technology or a related field
• Executive level: 1 to 3 years of experience in Technical Service, Research and Development (R&D), Quality, Application Laboratory, or Food Ingredients; fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply
• Senior Executive level: 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Technical Service, Application Development, or Innovation Centre operations within the food industry
• Business-to-Business (B2B) commercial awareness with a technical and solution-oriented mindset
• Solid knowledge of food ingredients, additives, and flavours, with practical experience across food processing methods and applications
• Grounding in scientific, chemical, and laboratory methods relevant to food product development
• Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prepare and present clear testing and study reports
• Capable of conducting data analysis and market research to support product development and commercial planning
• Proficiency in office productivity tools including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
