About The Role

The Executive, Field Sales plays a pivotal role in driving DKSH's Consumer Goods sales performance by supervising and coordinating field sales teams across assigned businesses and territories in Malaysia. This role delivers direct business impact by ensuring consistent achievement of sales targets, strong customer relationships, and disciplined in-field execution.

What You Will Deliver

 

  • Support the management of day-to-day operating expenditures against budgets to ensure resources are used efficiently and effectively 
  • Prepare and implement structured sales action plans including route planning and regular customer visits to achieve sales targets across assigned businesses and territories
  • Monitor team progress against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and sales plans, providing timely and constructive feedback to drive execution excellence and individual development
  • Execute field sales activities for assigned territories, including product portfolio introductions, order taking, marketing display set-ups, and in-store merchandising
  • Prepare and review quotations, proposals, and contracts to facilitate and close sales agreements
  • Monitor competitor activities and produce competition reports from merchandising data, recommending practical actions to protect and grow market share
  • Prepare sales reports and projected sales and margin forecasts, tracking and highlighting significant shifts in customer demand to support proactive business decisions
  • Coordinate continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sales processes, sales plans, and customer satisfaction
  • Investigate and resolve customer issues promptly, maintaining strong relationships through attentive follow-up, query response, and proactive order solicitation
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely product delivery and support the development of key customer relationships
  • Guide team performance toward shared goals and support team learning in Field Sales practices and DKSH values, while pursuing continuous self-development
  • Administrative duties and coordination tasks as required

 

What You Bring

 

  • Diploma or certification in Business Administration, Marketing studies, or a relevant educational background 
  • Minimum two to three years of sales or relevant experience in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry
  • Good working knowledge and understanding of the industry, market landscape, competitors, and customers
  • Solid knowledge of assigned territories, products, and services, with strong selling skills 
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills 
  • Basic research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable conclusions 
  • Proficiency in office productivity tools including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint 
  • Fluency in the local language and, ideally, in English, both written and spoken. Able to converse in Chinese will be an added advantage as you will be liaising with chinese speaking customers
