About the Role :


The Executive, Demand Planning is responsible for driving improvements in demand forecasting through the integration of the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process and close collaboration with business partners. This role is central to achieving budgetary targets, maintaining service levels, and delivering accurate forecasts that strengthen DKSH's Consumer Goods business performance.

 

What You Will Deliver:

 

  • Oversee demand planning and management processes for both new and existing products to ensure a consistent and reliable product supply
  • Develop and implement product demand plans aligned to organizational objectives and business targets
  • Create seasonal demand forecasts and anticipate customer responses to promotions and discounts to ensure adequate supply readiness
  • Generate demand forecasts by analysing demand patterns, tracking business trends, and incorporating global market impacts to enhance forecasting accuracy
  • Collaborate with customers, the sales team, client management, and supply chain partners to continuously improve forecast accuracy and cross-functional alignment
  • Maintain demand plans that balance cost-effectiveness with consistent fulfilment of customer requirements
  • Support risk assessment and mitigation efforts through analysis of return on investment and historical performance data
  • Monitor actual offtake against monthly forecast commitments, identifying and addressing variances proactively
  • Engage closely with stakeholders to resolve demand-related queries and issues in a timely and effective mannerIdentify opportunities to fulfil customer demand during periods of constrained supply, minimizing service disruptions
  • Continuously maintain and enhance demand planning processes and systems, identifying improvement areas and recommending actionable solutions
  • Ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including forecast accuracy and forecast bias are consistently met, conducting thorough root cause analyses to address shortfalls
  • Manage the Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) rationalization process to optimize the product portfolio and support business efficiency
  • Act as a key contributor to the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, including supporting client onboarding to S&OP
  • Contribute actively as a collaborative team member toward shared function goals, while pursuing continuous self-development in demand planning and DKSH values
  • Administrative duties and coordination tasks as required 

 

 What You Bring:

 

  • Degree or Advanced Diploma in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Statistics, or a related field
  • Minimum one to two years of experience in a similar demand planning or supply chain forecasting role
  • Understanding of demand forecasting methodologies and tools
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate insights into action
  • Demonstrated business and commercial acumen, with a sound understanding of the consumer goods market
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build productive and collaborative business partnerships
  • Strong business partnering and negotiation skills to influence outcomes across cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in office productivity tools including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken 
  • This is a 3 to 6 months contract role, expected to join by November
