Title:  Engineer Technical Services - Scientific Instrumentation

About the Role

The Service Engineer, Technical Support is responsible for delivering expert installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair services across DKSH's portfolio of analytical and scientific instrumentation. This role is integral to ensuring high standards of customer satisfaction and sustained instrument performance across assigned territories. 

 What You Will Deliver

• Execute end-to-end installation and commissioning of scientific instrumentation products, including X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF), sample preparation products, and particle size analyzers, ensuring each deployment meets technical and quality standards
• Deliver scheduled preventive maintenance services on an annual and semi-annual basis to maximize instrument uptime, reliability, and customer confidence
• Provide timely and effective troubleshooting and repair of scientific instruments under the Scientific Instrumentation portfolio, minimizing customer downtime and maintaining high service standards
• Conduct basic product training for customers to ensure correct instrument usage and enable them to derive maximum value from their equipment
• Drive growth in service contract renewals and spare parts sales to support sustainable business performance
• Process warranty claims on faulty spare parts and maintain optimal service spare parts inventory levels to ensure continuous service readiness
• Administrative duties and coordination tasks as required 

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics and/or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar technical service role
• Solid technical knowledge of analytical instruments, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting laboratory and scientific research instruments
• Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex instrument faults effectively
• Proficiency in office productivity tools including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Knowledge of X-Ray instrumentation including X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF), and/or cold storage equipment is an added advantage
