About the Role

The Regional Medical Operations & Excellence Lead is a pivotal role within DKSH's Medical Affairs function, driving the effective execution of medical strategies across the region with a strong focus on patient-centricity, operational excellence, and stakeholder value. By building medical capabilities, accelerating digital transformation, and embedding insight-driven approaches, this role makes a direct and meaningful contribution to better patient outcomes and an enhanced partner experience.

 

What You Will Deliver

  • Enable effective execution of regional medical strategies by partnering with regional and country medical leaders, translating strategic objectives into actionable operational plans adapted to diverse healthcare environments.
  • Strengthen medical team capability by assessing training needs and designing structured programs that span technical expertise, patient pathways, healthcare system dynamics, and burden of disease.
  • Lead the rollout of digital and blended learning solutions across markets, fostering knowledge exchange and best-practice sharing that elevate the collective capability of medical teams.
  • Shape and execute a comprehensive digital medical education strategy for internal stakeholders such as Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) and external stakeholders such as Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), overseeing platform governance and content development that supports better-informed clinical decisions.
  • Deliver operational excellence by establishing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), budget governance, and compliant workflows that free medical teams to focus on high-value patient and HCP activities.
  • Champion the adoption and continuous improvement of medical Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, insight management tools, and digital enablement platforms that drive data-driven decisions and strategic agility.
  • Build robust frameworks for insight capture and analysis that refine strategy and equip medical teams with tools to strengthen Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement and scientific impact.
  • Serve as a strategic bridge across medical affairs, commercial, compliance, regulatory, and market access functions, supporting integrated planning that aligns medical and commercial objectives while ensuring full compliance.
  • Establish regional performance benchmarking mechanisms and drive a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and scientific excellence across markets.
  • Administrative duties and coordination tasks as required.

 

What You Bring

  • Advanced degree in life sciences — Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), or equivalent — strongly preferred.
  • 8 or more years of experience in medical affairs or medical operations within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Regional or cross-country experience in a matrix organization strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of medical affairs strategy, scientific engagement, and compliance standards.
  • Proven capability in implementing digital tools and driving field medical excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate insights into patient- and HCP-focused strategies.
  • Expertise in capability building, project management, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Data-driven mindset with a strong orientation toward continuous improvement and innovation.
