Job Summary

Lead and scale regional business development opportunities across the Medical Devices portfolio, covering distribution and commercial outsourcing models. Define and execute the regional Business Development strategy across the full opportunity lifecycle—including lead identification and validation, value proposition design, proposal development, senior-level pitching, negotiation, and deal closure—while ensuring strong key account management with regional and global stakeholders.

Drive the evolution of a BD ecosystem by identifying and owning critical enablers such as governance, processes, capabilities, tools, and cross-functional collaboration. Act as a strategic partner to country organizations and regional functions to build a sustainable, high-quality BD pipeline and deliver DKSH Healthcare objectives.

General Responsibilities

Distribution & Commercial Outsourcing – Medical Devices

 

  1. Strategy & Portfolio Leadership
  • Define and own the regional Business Development portfolio strategy for selected Medical Devices therapeutic areas, aligned with DKSH Healthcare regional and country priorities.
  • Develop a regional BD strategic roadmap and annual priority list of opportunities, covering:
    • New lead generation (e.g., distributor changes, commercial outsourcing decisions)
    • Upselling (portfolio or service expansion)
    • Cross-fertilization (replicating successful partnerships across markets)
    • Switching opportunities from competitors
  1. Opportunity Identification & Pipeline Development
  • Partner closely with Country Client Management & BD teams, Medical Affairs, and Customer Insights & Analytics to identify, prioritize, and validate BD targets (companies, products, and services).
  • Build, develop, and sustain a robust and high-quality regional BD pipeline, providing proactive support to country teams during lead discovery, validation, and early-stage shaping.
  • Define and deploy scalable BD portfolio strategies that can be consistently applied across DKSH markets.
  1. Value Proposition & Deal Leadership
  • Develop and articulate DKSH’s compelling, insight-led value proposition with an “outside-in” perspective, leveraging data and analytics to design tailored go-to-market and operating models aligned to client needs.
  • Lead or support senior-level client engagements, including proposal development, pitches, negotiations, and deal structuring for strategic opportunities.
  • Provide key account management for a defined portfolio of regional or strategic Medical Devices clients.
  1. Market Presence & Thought Leadership
  • Represent DKSH at key industry and networking events, reinforcing DKSH’s commitment to clients and strengthening visibility across Medical Devices segments.

  • Data-Driven BD: Ability to generate and prioritize business leads through data, customer/client insights, and market intelligence, while validating and discarding opportunities quickly as needed.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong business and financial understanding to build, pivot, and evaluate business cases during deal negotiations.
  • Client & Customer Engagement: Proven ability to build authentic, mutually beneficial relationships with clients and customers to drive growth and satisfaction.
  • People Leadership & Influence: Advanced leadership skills, able to adapt style, influence cross-functional teams, and find win-win solutions.

  • Previous experience or exposure to constructing licensing agreements for products/brands.

Education

Relevant University Degree and/or MBA.
