About the Role:

This is a strategic and execution-focused business development role within DKSH Healthcare’s Own Brands business, a key driver of growth and profitability.

As Assistant Director, Own Brands Licensing, Acquisition & Business Integration Lead, you will be responsible for driving the full business development lifecycle, including deal sourcing, evaluation, execution, and integration.

This role is suited for a pharma professional with a strong track record in licensing, M&A, and deal-making, who is comfortable operating in a global, matrixed environment and leading complex initiatives from origination through to value realisation.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

Business Development & Strategy Implementation

  • Develop implementation of strategy for Own Brands M&A and in-/out-licensing by analyzing industry trends and working with regional and country Own Brands teams
  • Generate new leads through active search, conferences, and industry networks

Deal Evaluation & Execution

  • Partner with corporate M&A teams on non-binding offers (NBOs) and due diligence processes
  • Lead the screening of leads and development of business cases in collaboration with cross-functional teams (countries, regulatory, medical, finance, legal, etc.)
  • Develop value propositions to position DKSH Own Brands for new opportunities
  • Lead negotiation and contracting with partners (in-licensing and out-licensing)

Business Integration & Value Delivery

  • Lead post-deal integration of acquired or in-licensed assets into the Own Brands portfolio
  • Own cross-functional integration planning and delivery across commercial, regulatory, supply chain, finance, legal, and quality
  • Ensure seamless transfer of marketing authorisations, supply continuity, operating model alignment, and brand activation across markets
  • Act as the point of accountability across deal teams and business units to deliver integration milestones, synergies, and EBIT outcomes

Stakeholder & Leadership Responsibilities

  • Operate as an individual contributor with strong engagement across stakeholders
  • Lead through ambiguity and manage organizational complexity effectively
  • Work in an agile manner with internal teams while demonstrating resilience and adaptability

 

What We’re Looking For:

Must Have

  • 12–15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
  • Proven track record in business development / licensing / M&A, with hands-on ownership of deal sourcing and evaluation
  • Experience leading or materially contributing to end-to-end deal processes (sourcing, due diligence, negotiation to signing)
  • Strong commercial acumen in pharma, with understanding of portfolio strategy, market dynamics, and value creation
  • Experience working cross-functionally in regional or global environments
  • Ability to operate with both strategic perspective and execution ownership
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills in complex organisations

Nice to Have

  • Experience in post-deal integration or business integration coordination
  • Background in specialty pharma or companies with active licensing models
  • Prior exposure to portfolio expansion across multiple markets or regions
