We are currently looking for a Service Engineer focusing across NSW. This role will provide service and support to new and existing customers, for the range of products distributed by DKSH. Act as an escalation point for difficult technical matters in support of the wider service team and assist with training and development.
Key responsibilities:
- Service existing equipment at customer site or DKSH workshops in a timely manner
- Perform installation/commissioning of equipment to suppliers’ standards
- Manage allocated spare parts stock, for reducing losses and aged inventory costs
- Work with the Service Manager & Coordinator for scheduling and prioritizing demands of the DKSH business
- Provide support to other DKSH Engineers with difficult or problematic issues, which require a more experienced level of knowledge.
- Imparting your knowledge to DKSH Team members for assisting with upskilling and improvement for professional and personal developments.
- Assist customers and DKSH Team on technical matters and product information. This may at times include presentations and supporting pre-sale discussions
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, customers, and internal stakeholders - Provide training and aftersales support to customers as needed, to ensure customer satisfaction post sale
- Support superior in day-to-day operations, process improvements, and team safety.
- Provide technical support and management for any allocated projects, pertaining to the Service Team’s operations.
- Aide in identifying areas for increasing revenue to DKSH and/or reducing and minimizing costs
Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree in Engineering or Applied Science or similar Technical Trade Background
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an instrumentation service role
- Ability to demonstrate technical knowledge in scientific and industrial instruments
- Proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Demonstrate ability to communicate well and manage internal and external customers’ expectations in a difficult environment
- Ability to handle confrontation in a professional manner and works to defuse situations
