About The Role
Sales Specialist supports the Sales Manager and Local Business Line in day-to-day business with the aim to be developed into the role of a Sales Manager by driving sales growth and market development of Life Science products, particularly Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), Flow Cytometry, and related solutions, by identifying business opportunities, developing customer relationships, and providing consultative solutions to research, clinical, academic, and biotechnology customers.
What You Will Deliver
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue, margin, and growth targets for assigned Life Science product portfolio and territory.
- Manage the sales cycle for NGS, Flow Cytometry, reagents, consumables, instruments, and related solutions, from lead generation and opportunity qualification through quotation, negotiation, and closing.Identify and develop new business opportunities across universities, research institutions, hospitals, clinical laboratories, pharmaceutical/biotechnology companies, and other Life Science customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with researchers, laboratory managers, principal investigators, procurement teams, and other key decision-makers.
- Understand customers' research objectives and laboratory workflows to recommend appropriate products and solutions through a consultative and solution-selling approach.
- Conduct product presentations, technical discussions, seminars, workshops, and product demonstrations in collaboration with Application and Technical Support teams.
- Develop key accounts and establish a healthy opportunity pipeline to support short- and long-term business growth.Monitor market conditions, competitor activities, customer trends, and emerging technologies within the genomics, sequencing, cell analysis, and Life Science markets.
- Prepare sales forecasts, account plans, pipeline reports, and other commercial reports to support business planning.Collaborate closely with Product Management, Application Specialists, Marketing, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Technical Service to ensure effective customer support.
- Support tender processes, commercial proposals, contract negotiations, and other sales activities where applicable.
- Maintain up-to-date product and application knowledge to effectively communicate the technical and commercial value proposition of the portfolio.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Science, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, or other relevant Life Science disciplines.
- Approximately 2–5+ years of experience in Life Science sales, application support, business development, or a related customer-facing role.
- Experience or good technical understanding of NGS, molecular biology, genomics, Flow Cytometry, cell analysis, or related laboratory technologies is highly preferred.
- Experience selling scientific instruments, reagents, consumables, or laboratory solutions is an advantage.Strong commercial mindset with demonstrated ability to identify opportunities and develop customer accounts.
- Good communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.Comfortable discussing both technical applications and commercial considerations with customers.
- Able to work independently, manage multiple customer opportunities, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Good command of English and Bahasa Indonesia.
