Senior Specialist, SAP Applications – SAP Fiori cum ABAP

Job summary

As a Senior Specialist in SAP Applications, you will provide technical leadership in the design, development, implementation and deployment of SAP Fiori/UI5 applications and ABAP-based solutions.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP UI5/Fiori, ABAP programming, and integration with SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, FI, WM, PP). This role requires strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively across functional and technical teams.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, scalable solutions aligned with DKSH’s global business needs, particularly in the consumer goods and healthcare sectors.

Leadership responsibilities

• Lead the development and enhancement of SAP Fiori/UI5 applications using SAP Web IDE and BAS.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and best practices.
• Ensure technical design aligns with DKSH’s SAP architecture and standards.
• Drive continuous improvement and optimization of SAP applications.
• Maintain documentation and adhere to delivery methodologies.

Functional skills and knowledge

• Strong understanding of S/4HANA ABAP concepts and SAP Gateway.
• Strong knowledge of OData services, SAP Gateway, CDS views, and BOPF
• Experience with SAP BTP Cockpit, REST APIs, and data modeling.
• Good knowledge with SAP Workflow and integration techniques.
• Strong knowledge in debugging, performance tuning, and SAP enhancement techniques
• Proficiency in database query languages (MSSQL, MySQL, etc.).
• Exposure to Java/J2EE, Spring framework, and Hibernate is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with different project methodologies.
• Develop and enhance SAPUI5 applications using HTML5, JavaScript, and MVC frameworks.
• Analyze business processes and requirements to design and implement end-to-end SAP Fiori and ABAP solutions.
• Design and implement custom ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEF).
• Optimize and troubleshoot existing Fiori apps and ABAP code for performance and scalability.
• Integrate Fiori apps with SAP Gateway and OData services.
• Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and support integration/user acceptance testing.
• Ensure technical design aligns with DKSH’s SAP architecture and standards.
• Support deployment and post-go-live activities, ensuring system integrity and performance.

• Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
