Description: 

Job Summary

  • Support patients undergoing treatment in government hospitals by assisting with the submission, coordination, and follow-up of their treatment funding applications to various institutions, including zakat, MAKNA, and government offices.
  •  Manage the quality operations of Patient Support Program (PSP) services to ensure that services can be delivered effectively as well as comply with agreed service protocols, client requirements and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Coordinate with all related parties to identify and solve issues impacted PSP service protocols either related with an operation or other parties.
  • Find out quality improvement area for PSP services as well as introduce solutions/ provide consultation to clients/customers. 

General Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with submitting, coordinating, and following up on treatment funding applications to institutions.
  • Ensuring compliance to SOPs and Working Instructions.
  • Periodic reporting to client on the progress of the PS program.
  • Responsible for processing PSP enrollment, providing follow-up activities and gather data of patient's activities in consuming relevant PSP drugs, taking orders, coordinating with all related parties, and providing services based on requirements that agreed among company, clients and customers.
  • Support a superior in summarizing reports, discussing with clients or customers with good accuracy, quality and commitment.
  • Deliver high quality of service based on agreements with clients and customers.
  • Handle uncontrollable situations of relevant stake holders e.g. patients, doctors, nurses, pharmacists, hospital officers as well as clients.
  • Work under pressure, multiple task force and coordinate with related parties to meet client/customer requirements.
  • Responsible for collecting Adverse event, Product Quality Complaints and Medical Enquiry under the Patient Solution Program and handle it as per requirement sent by DKSH SOP or client’s agreement whichever that is stricter. 

Functional Skills and Knowledge

  • Proven experience and skills in executing Patient Support Program (PSP).
  • Experience in liaising/working closely with funding institutions (e.g., ZAKAT, MAKNA, TABUNG BANTUAN PERUBATAN, government institutions etc).
  • Proven ability to navigate complex administrative processes for funding applications. 
  • Strong knowledge on healthcare landscape in Malaysia.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in Malay and English.
  • Experience in working at public hospitals is a plus 

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, nursing, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in executing patient support programs in Malaysia.
  • Possess own transport and willing to travel.
