Job Summary
Implement and manage the Treasury policies for DKSH Malaysia and execute all treasury related matters.
Job Responsibilities
- Manager, Treasury is responsible for managing the organization’s cash flow, liquidity, investments, and financial risk to ensure optimal funding and financial stability. This role oversees treasury operations, banking relationships, and compliance with financial policies.
- Ensure all foreign exchange exposures are fully declared to Group Treasury in a timely manner and ensure that it’s hedged, actively manage changes in amounts/timing of hedges based on changes of underlying purchase orders, and subsequent settlement of hedges
- Manage the country's special projects/initiatives to improve treasury/cash management processes, activities, reporting, etc., with focus on treasury infrastructure within the country
- Provide high quality and accurate cash forecasts, reduction in idle cash, ensure timely and accurate forecasting of cash inflows and outflows, tracking of actuals and deviations of forecast and reporting to Country Finance and Group Treasury
- Manage all local bank relationships, including the establishment of local bank facilities and documentations based on Group Treasury instructions.
- Monitor bank service provision/pricing and local facility covenants.
- Responsible for treasury reporting into Group reporting.
- Manage day-to-day cash management and forecasting activities to ensure sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs
- Review monthly bank reconciliations and ensure timely and accurate recording of treasury transactions,
- Highlight any unusual transactions, actions and resolve discrepancies..
- Lead internal interactions and advise on matters related to treasury governance/practices.
- Manage and oversee team’s delivery of team/function goals to drive execution against goals set.
- Drive and manage learning and development of team in the area of Treasury DKSH behavior to achieve team goals.
- Drive self-learning and improvement in Treasury, and DKSH behavior as part of continuous learning.
Job Requirements
- Minimum four to seven experience in a similar role, preferably in a corporate treasury environment or the banking industry.
- Minimum two years’ experience in a managerial capacity.
- Degree or professional qualification in Accounting/Finance or a related discipline.
- Demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of the business and industry.
- Demonstrate sound knowledge and application of Treasury principles and best practice
- Demonstrate strong research and analytical skills.
- Strong people management skill – managing a diverse team, as well as working with a diverse group of stakeholders internally and externally
- Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g.MS Office).
