Title:  Intern - Software Testing (QA)

General responsibilities

• Assist in executing basic manual test cases and logging defects as instructed by senior QA team members.
• Help in preparing and organizing test documentation, including maintaining test cases and test data.
• Shadow senior QA engineers during sprint meetings to understand the workflow and QA discussions.
• Provide support to automation engineers in maintaining existing automated test scripts with guidance from senior QA engineers.
• Assist in simple performance testing tasks using JMeter under supervision.
• Maintain QA documentation in Confluence and ensure proper organization.
   

Functional skills and knowledge

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and added advantage if possess basic knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and software testing concepts and methodologies.
• Familiarity with any programming language (eg:Java / java Groovy)or testing tools (e.g., Selenium) is a plus.
   

Soft skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and proactive.
• A team player with good problem-solving skills.
   

Education

• Undergraduates or fresh graduates pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Work experience
• No prior experience required, but familiarity with QA processes is advantageous.
