Job summary:
The Order Fulfilment Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily picking operations to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient order fulfilment in line with customer service, productivity, and quality targets. The role is accountable for managing picking resources, monitoring workflow execution, maintaining inventory handling discipline, and ensuring all outbound orders are picked according to operational priorities, quality standards, and service level requirements. This position works closely with replenishment, inventory, outbound, and warehouse support teams to deliver smooth and controlled warehouse execution.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily picking activities to ensure all orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Plan and allocate manpower based on order volume, wave release, priority orders, and operational workload.
- Monitor picking progress throughout the shift and take timely action to resolve delays, shortfalls, and workflow bottlenecks.
- Ensure orders are picked in accordance with system instructions, FIFO or FEFO requirements, location discipline, and customer-specific handling standards.
- Coordinate closely with replenishment, inventory, outbound, and system support teams to maintain uninterrupted picking flow.
- Review order priorities and adjust task deployment to support urgent orders, service commitments, and cut-off timelines.
- Ensure proper product handling during picking to prevent damage, errors, and non-compliance with operational requirements.
- Monitor picking accuracy, productivity, and order completion status, and drive corrective actions where performance gaps are identified.
- Investigate picking discrepancies, stock issues, location errors, and process deviations, and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain proper housekeeping, safety, and operational discipline within the picking area.
- Ensure all picking documentation, system transactions, and status updates are completed accurately and on time.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve picking efficiency, accuracy, space utilization, and labour productivity.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Warehouse Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Equivalent hands-on supervisory experience in warehouse picking or fulfilment operations may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 to 2 years in a supervisory role related to picking, fulfilment, or outbound execution.
- Proven experience in managing order picking activities in a warehouse or distribution centre environment.
- Experience in FMCG, retail distribution, consumer goods, or contract logistics operations is preferred.
- Hands-on experience in manpower planning, workflow monitoring, and shift execution in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
- Experience in handling picking accuracy, stock discrepancies, replenishment coordination, and urgent order prioritization.
- Familiarity with WMS, RF devices, SAP, or related warehouse systems is an advantage.
- Prior experience supporting customer-dedicated operations or high-volume warehouse activities will be an added advantage.
