About The Role
As a Sales Supervisor (General Trade), you lead and develop a frontline sales team to drive Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) business growth across your assigned general trade territory. Your role is pivotal in building strong trade relationships, executing commercial strategies, and delivering consistent sales performance.
What You Will Deliver
- Lead and manage the sales team by setting clear direction, performance expectations, and accountability frameworks that drive measurable results.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with general trade customers, including grocery stores and traditional markets, to support sustainable business growth.
- Negotiate and conclude sales agreements within the general trade channel to secure commercial targets.
- Resolve in-field challenges swiftly, including issues related to the sales team and merchandise, to maintain operational continuity.
- Drive sales growth through effective Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) management, revenue development, and ongoing competitive analysis.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to plan and execute monthly and quarterly promotional programs, ensuring alignment across trade channels.
- Oversee General Trade (GT) channel processes, including sales planning, team deployment, and incident management, to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Monitor distributor inventory levels and maintain up-to-date visibility of fast-moving and slow-moving products to support supply efficiency.
- Prepare and manage comprehensive sales reports, including daily, monthly, and quarterly performance summaries, to support business visibility and decision-making.
What You Bring
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector; 2 to 3 years in a similar role is preferred.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a sales team with strong communication, leadership, and the resilience to perform under high-pressure conditions.
- Established relationships with general trade customers in the assigned territory.
- Proficient in office productivity tools including Microsoft Excel and Word for reporting and data management.
- Ability to travel and work effectively in the field across assigned routes and territories.
- Dynamic, enthusiastic, and hardworking, with a proactive approach to challenges in a fast-paced environment.
