About the Role

The Sales Manager leads a sales team and manages business performance across an assigned region, portfolio, or customer segment within DKSH's Healthcare business. This role drives sustainable sales growth through effective business planning, customer engagement, team development, performance management, and the execution of commercial strategies across a broad and varied healthcare customer base.

 

What You Will Deliver

  • Develop and implement regional or portfolio sales plans, customer engagement strategies, and activation programs to achieve sales and market share objectives
  • Manage business performance across multiple territories, customer groups, and brands, including launch, growth, and mature products
  • Monitor sales results, forecast accuracy, product supply, customer coverage, market share, and relevant financial indicators to maintain a clear view of business health
  • Review customer profiling, segmentation, targeting, territory design, and team deployment to improve productivity and capture growth opportunities
  • Assess market factors, trends, and growth levers, translating insights into clear and actionable business strategies
  • Lead the execution of product launches, promotional activities, and customer activation programs, implementing corrective actions where required
  • Contribute to quarterly and annual business reviews and provide well-reasoned recommendations on priorities and resource allocation
  • Develop strong relationships with healthcare professionals, specialists, hospitals, institutional customers, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and other business stakeholders
  • Guide the team in managing priority accounts and resolving complex customer or service issues effectively
  • Consolidate customer feedback and market intelligence, sharing relevant insights with Marketing, Medical Affairs, and portfolio teams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to refine customer engagement plans and maximize brand performance
  • Promote effective use of digital and multichannel engagement tools to improve customer reach and experience
  • Lead, coach, and develop Sales Representatives and Assistant Sales Managers to strengthen selling, territory management, and customer engagement capabilities
  • Support team members in developing effective territory plans of action aligned with portfolio growth objectives
  • Conduct regular field coaching, performance reviews, and development discussions, providing timely and practical feedback
  • Foster a culture of accountability, inclusion, customer focus, and continuous improvement across the team
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, retention, and succession development for the assigned team
  • Set clear performance expectations and hold team members accountable for agreed sales, activity, and capability objectives
  • Work closely with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, Supply Chain, Finance, and principals to deliver shared objectives
  • Ensure all team activities comply with company policies, local regulations, ethical standards, industry codes, and applicable requirements

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline 6 to 9 years of pharmaceutical commercial experience in sales and/or marketing
  • People leadership, team coaching, or first-line sales management experience is preferred
  • Proven track record in sales growth, regional or multi-territory management, and customer engagement
  • Experience managing a broad mix of healthcare professionals, hospitals, specialists, and institutional customers
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, customer segmentation, territory deployment, and business planning
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, and Supply Chain teams 
  • Understanding of multichannel customer engagement and digital commercial tools
  • Strong capabilities in strategic selling, stakeholder management, data-driven decision-making, coaching and talent development, performance management, and compliance and integrity
