Title:  Application Engineer for material and life science product

About The Role

Provide pre- and post-sales support to customers and prospects, including applications, demonstrations and sales visits related to scientific instrumentation products and solutions for the material & life science division.

What You Will Deliver

• Support superior in managing day-to-day operating expenditures against operating budgets to ensure efficient usage of resources
• Design and develop new equipment and systems or redesign of existing equipment to fulfill the needs of customers
• Research and analyze customer needs and suggest product features based on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations 
• Assist sales team in configuring the correct solutions for the customers 
• Study new products/technologies aligned with existing product lines to recommend enhancements or modifications
• Assist sales team on product demonstrations/technical presentations to customers or at conferences to promote products and services
• Provide pre-sales technical support through presentations and customer visits
• Run sample tests on instruments as and when needed (in-house or at customer sites)
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing users 
• Provide training to customers in post-sales and method development

What You Bring

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering or Applied Science. Bio/ Biotechnology education background is preferable.
• Have min. 2 years related work exposure in bioinformatics
• Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
• Demonstrate fluency in local language and ideally in English, both written and spoken
• Willing to travel and work independently
• Good presentation skill
