Title:  *Technical Services Engineer (Engine)

About the Role

The Engineer, Technical Services is responsible for delivering preventative maintenance and repair services on engines and related components at customer sites, ensuring equipment reliability and high standards of field service quality. This role contributes directly to DKSH's Technical Services business by building customer confidence through consistent, professional, and outcome-driven service delivery.

What You Will Deliver

• Engages with customer in a courteous and professional manner. Ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.

• Applies the use of specialized tools, utilizing computers/software and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing required parts and tools.

• Working closely with other technicians and customer service representatives.

• Escalates unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor.

• Performs preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engines and related components in the field.

• Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets and warranty claims via handwritten forms or business system input screens.

• Provide high quality technical report after completing the job.

• Completes training in line with skill and business requirements Maintains service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.

• Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislations.

• Must participate in an on-call rotation and work overtime as required.

Functional Skills and Knowledge

• Degree in Automotive Engineering, Dynamic Mechanics, or a related technical engineering discipline 

• Minimum 2 years of experience with engine products, with priority given to diesel engines and genset and industrial applications 

• Proven ability to repair and maintain mechanical and electrical products following established guidelines and within standard repair timeframes 

• Ability to disassemble and assemble engines

• Sound understanding of mechanical principles and theories, with the ability to use appropriate tools and procedures to achieve accurate diagnosis and repair outcomes

• Computer literacy to operate diagnostic tools, business systems, and support accurate documentation and reporting
