About The Role

The Market Intelligence Specialist is responsible for delivering market updates, category insights, commercial analysis, and data validation support to help business teams make better decisions. This role monitors FMCG market movements, analyzes market and category data, translates information into actionable insights, and supports business stakeholders with recurring and ad-hoc requests.

What You Will Deliver

  • Monitor FMCG market movements, category trends, retailer activities, competitor updates, and consumer trends.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly market updates for business stakeholders.
  • Conduct market and category analysis for assigned FMCG categories.
  • Analyze market data from sources such as NielsenIQ, Kantar, Euromonitor, public reports, online sources, and internal data.
  • Translate market information into clear business insights, opportunities, risks, and recommendations.
  • Prepare market overview reports, category snapshots, business review materials, and insight decks.
  • Support commercial analysis by connecting market trends with business performance and stakeholder needs.
  • Manage recurring and ad-hoc requests from business stakeholders.
  • Clarify request objectives, expected output, timeline, data availability, and business context. 
  • Prioritize tasks based on urgency, business impact, and resource availability.
  • Communicate findings clearly through PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI, email summaries, or verbal presentations.
  • Maintain documentation for recurring reports, templates, data sources, assumptions, and working processes. 

What You Bring

Functional Skills and Knowledge

• Good understanding of FMCG market dynamics, categories, channels, retailers, and consumer behavior.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to convert raw information and data into meaningful business insights.

• Good commercial sense and ability to connect market trends with business implications.

• Detail-oriented, especially in data validation, mapping, and report checking.

• Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, lookup functions, data cleaning, and data validation.

• Strong PowerPoint skills, including business review decks, insight storytelling, and executive summaries.

• Ability to analyze market data, sales data, category data, and external research data.

• Good written and verbal communication skills in Vietnamese and English.

• Comfortable working with cross-functional teams.

• Experience with NielsenIQ, Kantar, Euromonitor, or similar market data sources is preferred.

• Basic understanding of Power BI dashboards and reporting logic is an advantage.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Data Analytics, Statistics, Market Research, or a related field.

Work Experience 2–4 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: 

Market intelligence 

 • Category analysis

• Commercial analysis

• Business analysis

• FMCG business analytics Experience in FMCG, retail, consumer goods, market research agencies, distributors, or commercial teams is preferred.
