About the Role

The Lab Technician/ Technical Services supports the effective operation of DKSH's laboratory within the Performance Materials business, contributing to product testing, sample management, and technical service delivery across Paints, Inks, Construction Materials, Plastics, Rubbers, and Adhesives. This role is key to enabling market development and delivering reliable technical support to customers.

What You Will Deliver

• Receive, classify, label, and organize raw material and additive samples from suppliers in a systematic manner, ensuring accurate inventory tracking and ease of retrieval
• Prepare, package, and dispatch samples to customers based on requests from the Sales team or Lab Manager/ Technical Services Manager
• Operate laboratory equipment including viscosity meters, mixing machines, spray coating devices, and mechanical testing instruments to evaluate properties of raw materials and additives
• Conduct sample blending and evaluation based on customer technical specifications, supplier starting formulations, and Lab Manager guidelines
• Observe and record physical and chemical behavior during testing across material systems including water-based, solvent-based, and Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) resin systems
• Prepare accurate and detailed Test Reports summarizing all test parameters, input data, and output results for submission to the Lab Manager
• Maintain workplace cleanliness in accordance with 5S standards and carry out routine care and maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment
• Administrative duties and coordination tasks as required

What You Bring

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related engineering discipline
• Fresh graduates are welcome & up to 2 years of experience in chemical, paint, ink, or plastics laboratories is an advantage
• Foundational knowledge of chemicals, additives, and laboratory safety protocols including Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for report preparation
• Meticulous, detail-oriented, and committed to data accuracy
• Proactive learning mindset with strict adherence to laboratory safety regulations
• Good at English
